Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) learning technology support team manages the North of England e-learning catalogue on behalf of Health Education England working across the North (HEE)
YAS approached Dataphiles to create a secure cloud-based platform to store information on each piece of e-learning material available to NHS staff in the North as well as metadata about authors of the courses, technologies, audiences and more.
The brief was simple…the system had to be intuitive and make it very easy to add new records, categorise them and retrieve information or e-learning materials via a sophisticated search tool. The system also had to be able to produce bespoke e-learning catalogues based on user-defined search criteria that can be output and shared. An email communication tool was also included that allows the YAS team to easily send updates and comms to stakeholders as the content of the catalogue changes.
‘We have worked with the team at Dataphiles for several years now and they have created a really user friendly system that has removed a huge amount of manual processing. They’ve collaborated with us to further develop the system as our requirements changed and have offered first class support throughout, showing flexibility and a commitment to helping us get the best out of the software they’ve created for us.
